    • Grinnell Family association shows birth 21 Sep 1831. Grinnell Bible record has "Sep - 21, 1831" but the one is overwritten with a 2 to make 1832. It definitely appears the 1 is changed to a 2 rather than the other way around.

      I checked all 30 pages of the 1870 census for Delta Township, Eaton County, Michigan, on HeritageQuest. The Samuel Lawrence family is there, but the Peter Grinnell is not. I'm not finding the Peter Grinnell family anywhere in 1870. [1]
