John GRINNELL Sr,¹ ² son of Nathaniel GRINNELL and Ruth CLARK, was born on 30 Apr 1773 in Tiverton, Newport, Rhode Island, USA,^¹ died on 28 Mar 1828 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ at age 54, and was buried in Quaker Cemetery, Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA.^¹ User ID: B00026.

General Notes: "Unto them fifteen (15) children were born. Twelve (12) of which grew to be men and women." "Of German descent." ²

John married Rhoda DENNING ¹ on 14 Nov 1794.¹ Rhoda was born on 25 May 1779,^¹ died on 2 Jun 1861 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ at age 82, and was buried in Quaker Cemetery, Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA.^¹ They had 13 children: Phebe, Joseph, Abner, Morris, John, Minerva, Clark, Spencer, Rhoda, Caroline, Ezra, Thomas B, and Hiram.

Phebe GRINNELL ¹ was born on 19 May 1796 ^¹ and died on 12 Feb 1797.^¹
Joseph GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 4 Jan 1798 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ and died on 14 Mar 1883 in New York, USA ^¹ at age 85.

Joseph married Sylvia SKINNER ¹ in 1834.¹ Another name for Sylvia was Charity.² They had three children: John Enos, Caroline M, and Elma Lucille.
Abner GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 27 Apr 1799 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^{¹ ²} and died on 21 Mar 1880 in New York, USA ^¹ at age 80.

Abner married Eleanor LANE ¹ ² in 1818.¹ Eleanor was born on 15 Dec 1787 in Canada ^{¹ ²} and died in 1866 in New York, USA ^¹ at age 79. Another name for Eleanor was Elleanor.² They had nine children: Luthena Dixon, Rosetta, Martha Matilda, Mary Ann, Rhoda Dening, John Wily, Peter Conover, Hannah Elizabeth, and Nathan Loami.
Morris GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 30 Sep 1801 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ and died on 6 Dec 1876 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ at age 75.

Morris married Sarah F SHILLING.¹ ¹

Morris next married Margaret Anne LANE ¹ ² about 1824.¹ They had nine children: John, Thomas, Margaret Ann, Ambrosia B, George W, Mary L, Elizabeth, Ezra J, and Rhoda L.
John GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 6 Feb 1804 in New York, USA ^{¹ ²} and died on 22 Mar 1889 in Centerville, Tuscola, Michigan, USA ^{¹ ²} at age 85.

John married Eliza ISAACS.¹ ¹ They had three children: William, Lampson, and Hannah.
Minerva GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 2 Mar 1806 ^¹ and died on 16 Oct 1865 ^¹ at age 59.

Minerva married Cyrus MOORE.² ² They had five children: Joseph, Adelia, Phoeba, Emmeline, and Unreadable.
Clark GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 22 Apr 1808 in New York, USA ^¹ and died on 9 Feb 1842 in New York, USA ^¹ at age 33.

General Notes: "Clark died when twenty-five (25) years of age." ²

Clark married Parnell ST.JOHN ¹ in Feb 1828.¹ They had one daughter: Elizabeth Westcott.
Spencer GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 21 Dec 1810 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ and died on 21 Mar 1876 in Lenawee, Michigan, USA ^¹ at age 65.

Spencer married Charity MALONEY ¹ in 1833.¹ They had ten children: Angeline, Maria, Alvah Hiram, George A, Emeline, Charles S, Adeline, Charity R, Orlando, and Frances Eveline.
Rhoda GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 15 Feb 1813 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ and died on 24 Oct 1889 in New York, USA ^¹ at age 76.

Rhoda married Jacob LANE.¹ ¹ They had six children: Charles, Isaac, George, Andrew, Ambrose, and Helen.
Caroline GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 14 Mar 1815 ^¹ and died on 2 Jun 1861 ^¹ at age 46.

Caroline married GREENMAN.² ² They had no children.
Ezra GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 27 Mar 1817 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ and died on 5 Jul 1897 in Convis Township, Calhoun, Michigan, USA ^¹ at age 80.

Ezra married Charlotte MURRAY ¹ on 7 May 1843 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA.¹ They had five children: Charlotte Virginia, Drusella Josephine, Euphemia Delila, Adah Imogene, and James Talcot.

Ezra next married Lydia MURRAY ¹ on 28 Sep 1851.¹ They had five children: Joseph Durand, John Leonard, Ezra, Ida Maria, and Rhoda Lenore.

Ezra next married Caroline Garfield ALLEN ¹ in 1881.¹
Thomas B GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 10 Jun 1819 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ and died on 10 Oct 1879 in Beaver Dam, Dodge, Wisconsin, USA ^¹ at age 60.

Thomas married Sarah Emeline CASE ¹ in 1843.¹ They had three children: Elisha T, Hiram Sibley, and Amber H.
Hiram GRINNELL ¹ ² was born on 30 Jul 1821 in Farmington, Ontario, New York, USA ^¹ and died on 13 Jun 1869 in Eaton, Michigan, USA ^¹ at age 47.

Hiram married Emeline/Nancy MURRAY ¹ ² on 1 May 1842 in Canandaigua, Ontario, New York, USA.¹ They had seven children: Mark, Sarah, Emma J, Nancy Amelia, Eunice, George L, and Mary Adell.
