Mrs. C. R. Blasingim

Port Lavaca - Mrs. C. R. (Bob) Blasingim, of Seadrift, a member of a prominent pioneer Calhoun County family, died Sunday at 4:50 a.m. in the local hospital following an extended illness.
Native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, the former Miss Beatrice Roemer was born Nov. 3, 1913, to the late Oscar Preston Roemer and May Ellen Garner Roemer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. Leonard R. Swinney, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Lynnworth Cemetery under direction of Richardson Funeral Home.
Surviving are her husband, C. R. Blasingim; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Chatham, both of Seadrift; a son, Donald Franklin; her mother, Mrs. Oscar Roemer; three brothers, Lawrence, Oscar, and Clyde, all of Port Lavaca, and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Melvin, Ronal, Charles Ward Roemer, all of Port Lavaca, and J. C. Melcher.
