According to the research done by the late Carter Rownd, brother of Judge W S Rownd, Hammond, LA Samuel Perkins, b. ca 1700 married a Miss Rees, daug. of Daniel Rees. Source; "Old Cheraws" P 617. Daniel Rees was baptised 1711 and he came from Wales to Pennapek to New Castle.
Another source, History of Baptist by Benedict gives this information about Daniel. He was of the Pennsylvania Welsh Tract Colony. There are also records to indicate that Daniel was with the Welsh settlement in South Carolina. 117
