By 1899 Frank Cloudt, Jr. had moved from Kimble County to the Cloudt Headquarters ranch in Edwards County. He attended school on the Alien Ranch and later attended school under Professor Bird in Rocksprings. While attending school in Rocksprings, he and Hulette Franks had a job, sweeping out the school each day and building a fire when needed - all for $1.00 per week each.

Frank Cloudt and Winnie Page Cloudt ranched all their adult lives.
