Notes (Marriage)

They lived in Galveston until a fire ruined the restaurent they operated. Then she came back and lived on the Dooley place.

National Archives records show that Frederick W. Roemer was the first Long Mott postmaster. The next postmaster was Maurice DeCloudt, and tradition is that citizens dropped mail through a slot in the door of his home. The Albert Bierman store was the post office when Mrs. Fannie DeCloudt Bierman was Postmaster.

Frances had a home built on her part of the land of the Cloudt ranch until it burned down on the honeymoon of her youngest child, Lucille and Frank. Then after her youngest daughter Lucille and husband Frank Morgenroth built a home in Seadrift, she lived with them for some years. Then they took a small building from the Cloudt ranch and made her a little house and it was placed in the side yard of Lucille and Frank's home for numerous years. Then Frances had it moved to the side yard of her daughter Violet's home in Seadrift.</blockquote> 6
