DIED.

CRUMB. - In Delta, Dec. 28, Mrs. Matie Crumb, wife of Ezra P. Crumb and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Grinnell, of consumption, aged 27 years.

For months the deceased had been in declining health, and for several weeks had suffered untold agony. She possessed a disposition remarkable for its cheerfulness, its calm patience and hopeful trust. She was married Feb. 22, '83, to the husband who survives her to mourn his irreparable loss. She leaves a sweet little daughter three years and ten months. Matie was especially devoted and faithful as a wife and mother in all her domestic duties and obligations; affectionate and sympathetic, kind and generous to all.

Her parents - Mr. and Mrs. Grinnell, have the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends in their double affliction, the death angel having but a few weeks since taken their little son - Allie.

She leaves one sister - Mrs. Durand Waldo, and a brother - Lawrence Grinnell, by whom she will be missed on earth and warmly welcomed to the grandeur and holy joys of heaven.

DEC. 2. - Matie, aged 27 years, wife of Ezra Crumb, departed this life Saturday night, at about 11 o'clock, Nov. 28th. Her sickness of several months she endured patiently, expressing herself as prepared for the great change that must so surely come to all. The funeral services were held at the Delta Center church, Tuesday, Dec. 1st, at 1 o'clock p.m., the Rev. T. R. Rible officiating. ¹⁴⁰
