Have not been able to find Allen on the 1870 census (Lousianna) with his family. ⁶

General Notes (Wife)

Tradition holds that Cornelia was a full blood Cherokee Indian. Attempts to find information on her have been unproductive. Cornelia Norris is listed as mother on Albert's death certificate as reported by Jodie Jones her son.

It is not known where Cornelia is buried but we suspect it was Navarro County as my father-in-law, the oldest son of Allen J. and Cornelia said that he was working on family farm till 1917 when he joined the US Navy and got out in 1920. He told us that his mother's name was Cornelia Lee and that is the name that was used on her and Allen's marriage certificate which we have a copy of from the Family Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Have not been able to find Cornelia Lee and her family on the 1880 TX census. ^6,21,64

Trinity Memorial Park is located on Highway 87 (San Angelo Highway) about 3 or 4 miles south of Big Spring. Turn right into the cemetery at the first gate,and go to the right on North Road. When you pass the first sidewalk, count five rows. Floyd's grave is the 2nd one from the road. Lloyd his twin brother is buried 4th from the road, with Floyd's mother-in-law Rose Ashby buried between. ⁶
