Benjamin was a farmer; per Addie's birth certificate. A very religious man. Benjamin and Mariah left LA for Texas about 1869 with 2 sons, had 10 additional children in TX. Was very fair with light blue eyes. Benjamin and Mariah were on the same wagon train as Lark & Martha Ann Hickson their children Cal Ford and Julia Ann Hickson were married just before leaving Texas for New Mexico Territory. Information from family is that Benjamin & Mariah's graves are visible at Cactus Flats, which is presently the Moon Ranch between Cliffand Alma, NM. ^6,65,224

Bella was in the Big Spring State Hospital, a mental health facility, for the last years of her life, suffering from "chronic brain syndrome associated with cerebral arteriosclerosis with psychosis." She died from a cerebral embolus.

Trinity Memorial Park is located on Highway 87 (San Angelo Highway) about 3 or 4 miles south of Big Spring. Turn right into the cemetery at the first gate,and go to the right on North Road. When you pass the first sidewalk, count five rows. Bella's grave is the third one from the road. She has a very ornate metal headstone, which lies flat, with roses and a Bible in relief, with a cupto hold flowers. ⁶
